March 2010
Well, March pretty much zoomed by for us. Annie turned 8 on the 8th. She requested that we go to a movie and then have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. What a fun day that was!
Sydney and Annie had an Irish Dance performance at their "homeschool- school". They had been practicing for a while and were so excited to perform. They did very well and enjoyed it so much. Sydney said, "I wish I could do that 50 more times!".
We were also able to go on another one of our South Sound Sailing Club cruises. This time we went to Jarrell Cove on Harstene Island. It's about a 3.5 hour sail from Olympia. We luckily had good wind and were able to sail most of the way there. Our friends on Andiamo III and Cygnet were there along with some new friends. Bob got to try out his horseshoe set (everyone enjoyed that). We also had a great camp fire to roast marshmallows-yum and sit around to keep warm. Our friends that live near the cove came by to visit us the next morning. We were so happy to see them! It had been way too long. The kids all had a wonderful time running around on the dock and up on the hiking trails.
All in all, March was another wonderful month. (we even had some warmth and sunshine!)
Annie with her HUGE volcano cake at the Rainforest Cafe. The 4 of us didn't even come close to finishing it.
